Suggestions for a variety of schedules
It only takes 5 minutes to:
- Send a holiday or birthday card to an inmate
- Visualize the world you would like to share
- Check our Action or Facebook page for current campaigns
- Call a friend to join you in a project
- Write to your representatives to ask them to support the elimination of the death penalty and super-max prisons
One hour per month to:
- Donate your old books to prisons
- Become a pen pal
- Start a community-building group!
Three hours per month or week to:
- Serve lunch or dinner at a soup kitchen or distribute food at a food pantry
- Volunteer at local salvation army
- Be a big sister or big brother
One day per month to:
- Volunteer to drive children and families to visit prisoners
- Hold a local book drive, then ship books received.
- Drive a car full of folks to a prison to visit their family member or loved one!
